We were absolutely overwhelmed with the number of healthcare professionals that responded to our survey, having received our medi-bag launch materials in November last year.  5 lucky Maxiwell cushion winners were notified in January and they’re all now enjoying the stress relieving benefits that Casada’s products offer, as well as the reduction and management of back pain.

  

We met up with one of the winning Nurses, Lilian, at her London based surgery to talk to her more about her needs, Health to Hand’s services and to demonstrate the Maxiwell cushion.

 

Lilian sees over 20 patients a day through a variety of therapy lead clinics that she runs, ‘Health to Hand’s medi-bags are such a useful resource for me to manage the promotion of health with my patients. All of the information provided is grouped into the right health areas and I can keep the bags in my consultation room so that everything is easy to access for the right patient.’

  

Lilian’s day starts at 7.15am at the surgery and she is often still working at 6pm.   ‘The medi-bags save me so much precious time in sourcing patient information and they also provide me with direct educational resources to progress my own learning development.’   Lilian mentioned that she sees so many patients suffering with back pain and that like Sarah Baechi (M.S.C.P, S.R.P) chartered physiotherapist for the Paralympics, she’ll be recommending the Maxiwell cushion to help her patients manage their pain from home.

  
With the introduction of Health to Hand’s new medi-bags for their forthcoming campaign, including a medi-bag specifically for District Nurses, Lilian asked the Practice’s District Nurse to join in the meeting. Nurse Lee was delighted with the medi-bag concept and has signed up for the launch. She mentioned District Nurses are often forgotten about as they are always out working in the community and that Health to Hand’s District Nursing portable medi-bag will keep her up to date with useful health information, while she is on the move.

  

We left a delighted Lilian with her Maxiwell cushion to grab some much needed downtime over lunch!

Great information to recommend to patients too re Asthma, Diabetes, Female health, Prostate and Bowel Cancer awareness - all things we discuss with our patients in health promotion appointments. Many thanks for the massage cushion, sorry it has taken me so long to write but I am so chilled out now I just cant be bothered getting off the chair to reply to ANY E mails!!!  Well what can I say abut the information and service - excellent information, presented in a very useful and concise manner which is very user friendly in the clinic environment. It is great to have it all in one place and I will be very interested to see the information the new packs will contain. Many thanks for your support to healthcare professionals as sometimes we don’t have time to turn around let alone sit down-------- so saying--------- where is that cushion!!!!!! I think I may have to get my kids or husband off it first!!!!!!!

You have an informative website which I regularly watch for updating of health information. It is so easy to use and the medi-bag service is simply excellent. I think your service should be promoted in all the Practice Nurse journals. Looking forward to using my prize and having a pain free back - the health service did not look after nurses’ backs years ago.
